We Believe

Scripture

We believe the Bible, Old and New Testaments, to be inspired Scripture, the authority for faith and life, and God-breathed. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Godhead

We believe in One Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

The Person and Work of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man—without ceasing to be God Himself—having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and reconcile the world to Him. (John 1:1-14, Luke 1:35, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19).

We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for all mankind, accomplishing the reconciliation of all things, defeating sin and death—an assurance confirmed by His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead. ( Colossians 1:20, 1 Timothy 4:10, Hebrews 2:9, 1 Peter 1:3-5; 2:24)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of intercessor and advocate. (Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 9:24; 7:24-25, Romans 8:34, 1 John 2:1-2)

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; that He is conforming us into the image of Jesus, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, and dwelling within them. (John 16:8-11, 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:13-14)

We believe that He is the divine teacher who guides believers into all truth; that it is the privilege of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit. (John 16:13, 1 John 2:27, Ephesians 5:18)

We believe that Holy Spirit gives gifts to all individuals in the body of Christ in order to edify His church and build His Kingdom. (1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12:4-8).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood was the forgiveness of our sins (Ephesians 2:8-10, John 1:12, Ephesians 1:7, 1 Peter 1:18-19)

The Ministry and Spiritual Gifts

We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowment of all His gifts; and, that the gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors, and teachers are sufficient for the perfecting of the saints today; and the working of signs and miracles are still active today. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Ephesians 4:7-11)

We believe that God hears and answers prayer, in accord with His own will. (John 15:7, 1 John 5:14- 15)

We believe that it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to minister according to the gift and grace of God that is given to him. (Romans 12:1-8, 1 Corinthians 13, 1 Peter 4:10-11)

The Church

We believe that the Church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:25-27, 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 2 Corinthians 11:2)

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the coming again of the Lord Jesus Christ to establish a new heaven and a new earth.  (1 Thessalonians 4:16, Zechariah 14:4-11, Revelation 19:11-16, 1 Thessalonians 1:10, Revelation 21:1-7)
