It all begins with one. Have you had thoughts of fostering but have never taken the next step? Overwhelmed with all the “what ifs” surrounding fostering and weren’t sure if this is for you? Are you all in but maybe your spouse is unsure about it? Are you interested in educating yourself in the field of fostering so you can be a better resource and support for others? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this conference is for you.

This event is a one-day conference that is for anyone with an interest and a heart to foster. On this day we will be going over what it takes to be a foster parent from the actual government requirements to the heart posture and grit it takes.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

At the For the ONE Conference we have representatives from Catawba County Social Services who will be educating us on the process to become licensed and what it takes to foster successfully. We will hear from nonprofits in our community who offer support to foster families, we have a guest speaker who will be sharing with us from the perspective of a foster child, and we will have a Q & A panel with foster parents and those experienced in this field to answer all your questions.
