April 2024 - Springs of Catawba - Love On A Senior Day

At Sy Church, we believe that community outreach is an essential part of living out our faith, and every month, we look for opportunities to connect with those who need love and support. For our April 2024 outreach, we had the incredible privilege of visiting Springs of Catawba, an assisted living facility that is home to approximately 60 senior adults. 

 At Sy Church, we are committed to extending kindness and compassion to everyone, especially those who might feel isolated or in need of companionship. Springs of Catawba provides a safe and supportive environment for seniors, and our desire was to bring a sense of joy and connection to the residents during our visit. 

 Our church members came together, prepared with open hearts and ready hands, to spend quality time with the seniors at Springs of Catawba. From engaging in conversations and listening to their stories to sharing smiles and laughter, our goal was to uplift their spirits and remind them that they are cherished and valued. We also brought small gifts and treats as a way to add an extra touch of care and thoughtfulness to our visit. 

 This outreach was not just about the activities we did; it was about fostering relationships, showing love in action, and ensuring that the residents knew they are not forgotten. The seniors at Springs of Catawba welcomed us with warmth, and it was truly humbling to see how much our time together meant to them. 

 The experience at Springs of Catawba was a beautiful reminder of the impact that community and connection can have on the lives of others. As a church, we are continually inspired to find ways to serve those around us, especially the elderly, who carry so much wisdom and experience but can sometimes feel lonely or overlooked.
