January 2024 - STRONG LIFE
As we kick off the new year, we're thrilled to partner with Strong Life Rescue Mission for our January Outreach initiative. Strong Life's commitment to providing essential services, clothing, and supplies to the homeless community in our area aligns perfectly with our mission to serve and support those in need.
With the recent freezing temperatures, the importance of their ministry is more apparent than ever. The homeless population faces numerous challenges during the winter months, and we wanted to step in to offer assistance.
For Outreach this month, our team assembled backpacks filled to the brim with essential items like socks, toboggans, gloves, hand warmers, shampoo, snacks, and more. These simple yet invaluable items can make a world of difference in helping individuals endure the harsh winter weather.
We were thrilled to deliver around 60 backpacks to Strong Life, where they were distributed directly to those in need. We also left additional backpacks with Strong Life to continue supporting individuals in the weeks ahead.
During our time at Strong Life, we had the privilege of engaging with members of the homeless community, offering them not just material support, but also encouragement and love. We took the opportunity to ask if they would like prayer, and many graciously accepted, allowing us to lay hands and pray over them.
In addition to the backpacks distributed through Strong Life, we also provided another 20 backpacks to members of our church community to keep in their cars. This way, they can readily offer assistance to any homeless individuals they encounter on their journeys.
Participating in Outreach is just as much of a blessing and as rewarding to us as it is to those we are helping. We are so grateful for every opportunity to extend kindness and compassion to those in need.
