July 2023 - Love on A Senior

This month, our outreach efforts took us to Springs of Catawba in Hickory, NC, where we embarked on our first-ever "Love on a Senior Day." It was a heartwarming experience filled with joy, laughter, and genuine connections. 

 The staff at Springs of Catawba warmly welcomed us into their facility, allowing us to spend quality time with the residents. From engaging games of Bingo to singing old hymns, every moment was infused with love and compassion. 

 Bingo turned out to be quite the competitive affair, much to our delight! Laughter filled the room as residents eagerly vied for the coveted prizes we had prepared. It was a testament to the vibrant spirit and camaraderie within the Springs of Catawba community. 

 But more than just games and gifts, our outreach day was about showering the residents with love and attention. Seeing the smiles on their faces and hearing their laughter filled our hearts with immense joy. We cherished every interaction, knowing that we were making a meaningful difference in their lives. 

 As we wrapped up our time at Springs of Catawba, we couldn't help but feel a sense of fulfillment and gratitude. The bonds we formed and the memories we created will stay with us forever. And already, we find ourselves eagerly anticipating our next visit. 

 At Sy Church, outreach isn't just about reaching out; it's about building lasting connections and spreading love wherever we go. We're committed to continuing our efforts to uplift and support the senior community in Hickory and beyond.
