October 2023 - WE LOVE OUR FIRST RESPONDERS

In October, we had the wonderful opportunity to spread some love and appreciation to our amazing First Responders right here in Hickory, NC. These brave individuals - our local police officers, firefighters, and EMS - truly deserve recognition for their unwavering dedication and sacrifice in serving our community. 

 To show our gratitude, we put together special gift baskets filled with treats and snacks because who doesn't love a tasty pick-me-up during a busy day at work, right? 

 Our Outreach team had a blast assembling these gift baskets, which were packed with goodies like Monster energy drinks, candy, Krispy Kreme donuts, and restaurant gift cards. Then, we split into teams and set out to deliver them to our local heroes. 

 From the Hickory Police Station to the Catawba County EMS and all three Fire Stations in Hickory, we made sure to visit each location to personally express our appreciation. And let me tell you, the smiles on their faces were priceless! 

 One of the most touching moments was when we had the privilege to pray over some of the First Responders and their families. It's incredible how a simple act of kindness and a heartfelt prayer can truly uplift spirits and make a difference. 

 This outreach may have been simple and easy for our team, but its impact was immeasurable. It didn't require sweat or manual labor, just a genuine desire to spread some joy and gratitude to those who deserve it most. 

 We're grateful for the opportunity to brighten someone's day and show our appreciation for the incredible work our First Responders do day in and day out. It's moments like these that remind us of the power of kindness and the importance of supporting our local heroes.
