November 2023 - IT’S YOUR TURN
In November, we embarked on a heartwarming journey of personal outreach, encouraging our church members to spread love and kindness in their own unique ways. With the holiday season upon us, we felt it was the perfect time to extend a hand of friendship and support to those who may need it most.
We challenged our congregation to step out of their comfort zones and invite someone to lunch or coffee, someone they felt could use a little extra love and encouragement during the holidays. It was a simple yet profound way to make a meaningful connection and brighten someone's day.
To kickstart this initiative, we provided our church members with free Starbucks and Chick-Fil-A gift cards, because who doesn't love a delicious treat shared with a friend?
We firmly believe that if we can't extend kindness and compassion beyond the walls of our church, then what hope are we to a lost and hurting world? It's moments like these that remind us of the true essence of community and the power of reaching out to others with love and sincerity.
We couldn't be more proud of our church family for embracing this opportunity to spread joy and love. The holidays can be a busy and sometimes challenging time for many, and our hope was to bring a ray of light into the lives of those who may be feeling lonely or sad.
As we reflect on the impact of our personal outreach efforts, we're filled with gratitude and joy. It's heartwarming to see our congregation come together to make a positive difference in the lives of others, one coffee date at a time.
Moving forward, we're inspired to continue fostering a culture of kindness and compassion, both within our church community and beyond. Together, we can make a difference, one act of love at a time.
